About Me...

Hey I'm Les, of Leslyn Design.

For as long as I can remember I've always been a creative. I made my first vlog in 1996, during a family holiday. Music videos comprised of a portable CD player, my sister's Video Recorder and a whole lot of miming. And no one was allowed to make a sound, or else! I used to design all the family birthday cards or posters from pictures I had stolen off Google. I loved photography, in fact I prided myself as the family photographer, even though I didn't own a camera, so I was super excited when I was finally able to afford my first DSLR.

I've worked as an IT Administrator for 20 years, but I always knew that something was missing. In 2016, I decided to side hustle and enrolled in New York Institute of Professional Photography, and after a crazy but amazing 15 months, I graduated, and also became a published photographer in the same month. My photo appeared on the cover of Footprints Zimbabwe magazine - in their very first issue. I celebrated this by upgrading my camera!

At the beginning of 2020, I explored my creative path further and took an Intensive course in Graphic Design. I was hooked from Day 1 and I believe that I have finally found my passion and place in the world. Two short years later, I can now add International Graphic Designer to my creative Portfolio.

I love camping and the African bush, but I am absolutely obsessed with the ocean, especially Vilankulos, in Mozambique. Three things I can't live without are my husband Chris, my 24 nephews and nieces, and my pillow called 'lumpy'.

Thanks for taking the time to view my website and I look forward to working with you soon!
